National Apprenticeship Week 2024: Celebrating Skills For Life
It’s National Apprenticeship Week! Every year we look forward to National Apprenticeship Week as it gives us an opportunity to bring our apprentices, employers and staff together to highlight the significant impact Apprenticeships make to our learners, businesses, our communities and the wider economy.
There’s lots to shout about this National Apprenticeship Week, with a range of activities going on across our three campuses to raise awareness of Apprenticeships and how they can transform lives.

Our friendly Apprenticeship Team will have stands across our three colleges from 12pm until 1pm Monday to Friday this week to answer any questions students may have regarding Apprenticeships. They will be able to offer advice on the range of Apprenticeships we offer, as well as Apprenticeship funding.
Tuesday 6th February - The Group will also be hosting an Employers’ networking event during National Apprenticeship Week, on Tuesday 6th February from 8am until 9:30am at Snozone, at Xscape in Castleford.
Attendees will be able to discuss skills and training needs, sustainability in business and network with other local employers with colleagues from across the Group. The full details of the event can be viewed here.
Staff from the Group will also be delivering apprenticeships talks to pupils across the region to help them understand the benefits of apprenticeships and the apprenticeship routes which are available to them.
Wednesday 7th February – Our Open Events taking place at Castleford College and Wakefield College will have a special apprenticeship theme, with apprenticeship talks taking place throughout the evening.
Our Apprenticeship Team will also have a stand, where they will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding vacancies, funding and more.
Join us from 5pm until 7pm. Register your place at either Castleford College or Wakefield College.
Thursday 8th February - Our Annual Apprenticeship Awards will also take place at Pontefract Town Hall, which we look forward to welcoming award nominees, employers and partners of the Group to.
