The Heart of Yorkshire Education Group received a ‘Good’ grade overall, and a ‘Strong’ for our contribution to meeting regional and national skills needs.

The Group Board provides oversight, strategic direction, and governance to ensure the effective and responsible operation of the Group across all three of its colleges.

Our Merger Journey

As a new, combined institution, the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group was formed following the merger of Selby College and Wakefield College and the formation of Castleford College on 1st March 2022. The Group now serves the education and skills needs of the Yorkshire region from its campuses in Castleford, Selby and Wakefield.
