Business Systems Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Manager to join our fantastic Business Systems team at the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group.
We are seeking a motivated, technically skilled, and strategically minded individual to lead our Business Systems function. This role is central to ensuring that the Group’s systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with both current and future business needs.
Reporting to the Head of Business Systems, you will take a lead role in shaping and delivering the Group’s Business Systems Strategy. You will combine strong technical expertise with leadership and business process insight to oversee, develop, and continuously improve a broad portfolio of systems and applications.
This is a varied and dynamic role, combining team management, system ownership, development oversight, and project delivery. You will work collaboratively across the organisation to drive innovation and ensure technology effectively supports teaching, learning, and business operations.
You will:
- Lead the support, administration, and ongoing development of the Group’s business systems and applications, ensuring they meet evolving organisational requirements
- Manage and develop a high-performing Business Systems team, providing direction, coaching, and performance oversight
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve efficiency and user experience through automation, leveraging tools such as Microsoft Power Automate and other workflow solutions
- Oversee the development and delivery of modern reporting and analytics solutions (e.g., Power BI), ensuring data-driven decision-making across the Group
- Lead and manage the implementation of new systems and enhancements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to strategic objectives
- Own and govern system integrations, overseeing the development and maintenance of APIs, web services, and data connectors to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient data exchange
- Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to understand requirements, prioritise demand, and ensure systems deliver maximum value
