Employer Engagement Consultant

Based at Castleford College with working across Wakefield and Selby Colleges as required.

Are you passionate about building relationships, opening doors and working with businesses to make a real difference?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Employer Engagement Consultant to join our Work Placements team. In this employer-facing role, you'll work directly with construction businesses across the region to create meaningful industry placement opportunities for our learners.

Working alongside our Construction Work Placement Officer, you'll develop new employer partnerships, strengthen existing relationships and help ensure our students gain the real-world experience that employers value.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Identifying and engaging new construction employers, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
  • Visiting construction sites and employer premises to develop new placement opportunities.
  • Building strong relationships with site managers, contract managers, project managers, HR teams and business owners.
  • Promoting the benefits of industry placements and developing long-term partnerships with employers.
  • Working with employers to understand their workforce needs and identify future talent opportunities.
  • Collaborating with curriculum teams and the Construction Work Placement Officer to match employers with suitable learners.
  • Supporting the delivery of WYCA-funded industry placement targets and other employer engagement initiatives.
  • Representing the College at employer events, networking opportunities and industry forums.

 

 

You will have:

·       GCSE in English and Maths A*-C/9-4 or equivalent

·       A relevant Level 3 qualification in Customer Service or equivalent (or be willing to work towards) or relevant experience

·       Experience of working in an educational setting
