Assessment for this course is practical, portfolio-driven, and designed to reflect real-world tech scenarios. Rather than relying solely on traditional written exams, your progress will be measured through applied tasks and hands-on activities.
4 GCSEs at Grade 9-3, including English and Maths.
OR
English and Maths at a minimum of Level 1 and successful completion of a relevant Level 1 qualification at Merit Grade.
Completing the Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Digital Systems and Data provides a direct stepping-stone onto Level 3 qualifications, including V Levels in Digital Systems and Data, T Levels in Digital Support & Security, Software Development, or Data Analytics, and A Levels such as Computer Science. Alternatively, it prepares you for Level 3 Apprenticeships in IT support, software development, or data roles, paving the way toward university, Higher Technical Qualifications, or immediate entry into digital careers.
This course can either be studied at Selby College or Wakefield College.
