Case Study
Clae
"In this course I enjoy having the freedom to explore different styles and ways of expressing myself in my art. I chose this college as I am autistic and learning disabled, and the college has great additional needs support, included dedicated staff. I feel like there is always someone there to help if I need it.
My classes have also taught me more about relevant life skills such finding jobs and social media development for presenting and promoting our artwork.
I enjoyed being a part of the Reclaim the Night march in Wakefield, and we designed and made the banners for this event, as well as setting up an exhibition at The Art House. Community work has been a strong focus for us this year and is a great addition to my CV.
After my course, I plan to take a gap year to volunteer running creative wellbeing workshops for women's charities. After this, I will aim for a Master’s in Art Psychotherapy, with the view to becoming an art psychotherapist for women in the future."
