“Studying BA (Hons) Criminology and Law at the University Centre at Wakefield College has helped me to gain my dream job as a Data and Information Officer for West Yorkshire Police.

As I had previously studied at Level 3 in Uniformed Public Services at Wakefield College, I knew the tutors who were helpful and supportive, as well as being familiar with the environment. Due to the smaller size of the University Centre, I got a lot more contact time with my tutors – they would support me if I had any questions or queries.

One of the highlights of my course was the trip to the Combined Courts in Leeds. I was able to see the real-life consequences of crime which therefore helped me to further understand the criminal justice system.

I am now excited to graduate, especially since I am working a job that I absolutely love.”
