“I decided to stay at Selby College for my degree in BSc (Hons) Sports, Exercise and Health Sciences as it was close to home which meant that I was able to save money and was already familiar with my tutors and course mates. We are a tight-knit group, so it’s been great to have their constant support.

My tutors have been brilliant throughout my time at the University Centre, supporting me both academically and personally. They have shown me the different routes that I can take after university, especially since my course is so varied.

I have learned the importance of independent working and taking initiative. Whilst I know when to ask for help, I can also push myself to achieve my goals. These are valuable skills that I will take with me in my future career, especially now that I am exploring opportunities within Sports Marketing.”
