"I started my apprenticeship straight after my GCSEs, and from the get-go I have learnt practical skills for my trade alongside transferable skills such as resilience and independence.

I learn on the job every day – I am shown tasks before being given the opportunity to have a go myself. The people I work with are really great, they are always on-hand to make sure that I am learning and understanding what is asked of me. They encourage me to progress, making sure that I feel supported in my role.

I would recommend an apprenticeship to anyone. You earn whilst you learn and become responsible for your own future. It is a great opportunity."
