“I would love to work abroad in the future, so I decided to study Travel & Tourism at Selby College to help me to achieve that.

The fact there aren't any exams on the course is ideal for me as it has made my college experience a lot less stressful. Being able to create a variety of materials, like posters, brochures and PowerPoints, has helped me to retain knowledge in a way that works well for me.

I have had thirty hours of work experience to gain hands-on, practical skills and this has been especially useful as I would like to work in a hotel entertainment team.

There are also lots of trip opportunities, and I have had the chance to go to York Chocolate Story, York National Railway Museum and Flamingo Land to name a few. These experiences have been so important in preparing me for my dream job.”
