"I chose to do my my Bachelor of Engineering at Selby College because I want a lot of progression in my career and having a degree will give me more opportunities.

I’ve really enjoyed the range of topics on the course; I work at Siemens and studying condition monitoring has been particularly useful because it directly relates to my work. I’ve really enjoyed being able to create my own research projects that link to my career and developing that in line with my work.

Although the teachers are very hands on, in comparison to studying Level 3 here, there is a lot more independent work and freedom to take ownership of your work at degree level.

After this course, I would like to continue to progress as far as I can in my career, so I will be looking at a master’s degree and eventually becoming chartered."
