"I’ve always loved writing and enjoyed the freedom of writing stories, and after writing my own blog and undertaking some voluntary work, I landed a role as News Reporter at Goole Times.

I left Selby College in 2020 after gaining my A Levels in English Language, English Literature and Media Studies. In my career, I continue to regularly use the writing skills I developed in college.

My advice to students would be to remember that university is not the only option for academic subjects, you can choose which route is best for you, but experience is always the most valuable thing you can have."
