“I studied the BA (Hons) Performance Industries (Top-Up) course and loved it. The end of year performances were a big highlight as they were held in professional venues.
Our first-year performance was held in the Theatre Royal in Wakefield, which was a great experience, and it was so rewarding to showcase all of our hard work to our family, friends, and tutors.
We were lucky enough to go on a trip to London where the itinerary included West End theatre trips to watch some incredible shows. It was great to see the paths that my degree could lead to, and it motivated me even more.
I am currently a dance teacher, and I am happy that this course has opened more doors for me at my work. I have now picked up additional hours, as well as being able to teach children as young as nursery age.
One of my dreams has always been to perform so it is reassuring that my degree means that opportunity is there if I ever want to take it.”
