Wakefield College Graduation Day

The Wakefield College Graduation Day is one of the most important days in the University Centre’s calendar, a celebration of our student’s achievements, both academically and personally, during their time with us.

Receiving your Degree, Diploma or Certificate is the crowning moment of your Higher Education experience and we want your Graduation Ceremony to be something you’ll always remember.

Graduation Day is one of the most important days in the University Centre’s calendar, a celebration of our student’s achievements, both academically and personally, during their time with us.

A highlight of the day is the procession of College staff, Governors, guests and graduates, which leaves the Wakefield College on Margaret Street, and, headed by the Mayor and Mayoress of the Wakefield Metropolitan District, parades along Wood Street to the City’s Cathedral for the Ceremony itself.

Once at Wakefield Cathedral Graduates are presented with their certificates by a guest speaker.

It’s a wonderful occasion and one which we’re sure you won’t want to miss.
