Students kick-off new year with College Freshers

Student Leaders at Wakefield College Freshers'.

Freshers events took place across the Group's three College campuses, consisting of a range of exciting activities to welcome the new students onto campus for the 2026-27 academic year.

This year, each campus hosted a range of stalls that students could visit including charities, local businesses and other well-known brands such as Pure Gym and partners such as Castleford Tigers.

Students also had the opportunity to tuck-in to some free pizza and ice cream from local vendors.

Noise Academy visited the Colleges to introduce students to DJing and music production in their mobile van.

Music was a key part of Selby College's Freshers which saw a tutor deliver an acoustic set to conclude the event on the Friday.

Students had access to the mobile photobooth and props to commemorate the day with a printed photo!
