Apprenticeship summary
What will the apprentice be doing?
- To ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity
- To ensure that all dishes reach the hot plate or pass correctly garnished, the correct portion and size presented on the prescribed serving dish in the prescribed manner
- To ensure that sections are being kept clean and tidy at all times
- To ensure that volunteers and trainees receive the right training and optimum guidance
- To ensure that all stocks are kept under optimum conditions
- To ensure that food is always freshly prepared and on time
- To ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the head chef
- To attend training courses and seminars as and when required
- To constantly update your knowledge and skills for the good of the establishment
- To display a positive approach to excellent customer service at all times
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Training will be delivered in the workplace by The Heart of Yorkshire Education Group.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Progression to permanent role if successful.
