Course Overview

This course is designed for students who have successfully completed the Level 2 Certificate in Motorcycle Maintenance and are ready to progress to more advanced skills. At this level, learners will specialise further in motorcycle systems, focusing on inspection, diagnostics, and repair. Building on the knowledge and experience gained at Level 2, students will learn how to identify and diagnose a range of faults using appropriate tools and techniques. The course covers all major aspects of motorcycle technology and encourages a deeper understanding of how systems interact and perform under different conditions. This qualification is ideal for those aiming to progress into employment in the motorcycle industry, move into an apprenticeship, or continue to higher-level technical training.

What You Will Study

A mixture of workshop and theory sessions will ensure students gain both practical and theoretical knowledge, preparing them for employment or further study in the motorcycle industry. Units include: Health and Safety in the Workshop Transmission Systems Engine Systems Understanding Customer Needs
  • How You Will Be Assessed

    You will be assessed through practical tasks in the workshops and completion of portfolio work and end of unit online exams.

  • Entry Requirements

    4 GCSEs at Grade 9-4 in English and Maths.

    AND

    A Level 2 Certificate qualification.

  • Further Study

    Upon completing the Level 3 Motorcycle Maintenance course, students can progress to higher-level qualifications, apprenticeships, or pursue careers in specialist areas such as diagnostics, performance tuning, or motorcycle engineering.
