Course Overview

Of the 700,000 people in the UK diagnosed with some form of autism in the UK, 70% of adults claim they do not receive any help in coping with their diagnosis. As a result, feelings of isolation are common and one in three adults experience severe and ongoing mental health issues. This level 3 certificate in Understanding Autism will allow you to develop a comprehensive understanding of autism in its many forms. You will learn how to adopt a positive approach to supporting individuals with autism and the different theories behind these approaches.

What You Will Study

    There are no lessons to attend, though we would expect you to undertake 5-10 hours of learning a week.

    You will be assessed through a range of assessment methods, including short answer questions and longer essay style questions.
