Course Overview

This course provides a firm foundation in all aspects of the people profession, supporting the development of knowledge and skills that are required at an operational level. It is particularly suitable for individuals starting their career in the people profession or those already in a support role who seek a recognised qualification to enhance career progression within the field.

What You Will Study

The CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice covers the following topics:

  • Business, culture and change in context
  • Principles of analytics
  • Core behaviours for people professionals
  • Essentials of people practice
  • Attendance Expectations

    You will attend one online taught session per week via Microsoft Teams.

  • How You Will Be Assessed

    Learning is continuously assessed through class activities. However, formal assessment is through successful completion of all four assignments and will result in achieving the Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice.

    The course provides a series of development modules that address knowledge and skills. Teaching is interactive and mostly online via Microsoft Teams, where group work and class discussion feature prominently.

  • Entry Requirements

    GCSEs at Grade 9-4 in English and Maths.

    OR

    Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths.

    Where the applicant does not meet the course entry requirements, entry will be considered based on previous achievements.

  • Fee Information

    £1,400

    PLUS student membership fee paid directly to the CIPD. Students must have registered and paid for student membership to start the course. Membership fees are available on the CIPD website.

     

  • Further Study

    This qualification prepares you for further studies within the people profession, such as CIPD Level 5 and 7 qualifications. However, progression is not automatic as it depends upon the policy of the higher education establishment you wish to attend.
