“I would love to work abroad in the future, so I decided to study Travel & Tourism at Selby College to help me to achieve that. The nature of the course, and the fact there isn’t exams, is ideal for me as it has made my college experience a lot less stressful. Being able to create a variety of materials, like posters, brochures, and PowerPoints, has helped me to retain knowledge in a way that works well for me. As well as this, I have had thirty hours of work experience to gain hands-on, practical skills and this has been especially useful as I would like to work in a hotel entertainment team. There are also lots of trip opportunities, and I have had the chance to go to York Chocolate Story, York National Railway Museum and Flamingo Land to name a few. These experiences have been so important in preparing me for my dream job.”
