“I have graduated with a Foundation Degree in Young Children’s Learning and Development. I loved the look of the University Centre, especially as the course is so well suited to me, and it is a bonus that travelling is so convenient.
I have enjoyed that the course has pushed me to do things that I otherwise would not have done. Something that stands out to me is a presentation that I had to do by myself in front of my class. I was nervous beforehand, but the sense of achievement that I felt afterwards has given me the confidence to always believe in myself.
Having such varied opportunities on my course, like placements, assignments, and presentations, has prepared me for my future career.
I would love to have a job dedicated to safeguarding children, perhaps a Designated Safeguard Lead at school. I want a job that helps children and where every day is different. My degree has given me the tools to go on to do this.”
